Business Intelligence (BI)

Business Intelligence (BI) refers to IT-based methods and processes for the systematic analysis of digital information in order to gain the most comprehensive insights possible for business decisions. For this purpose, the data is first collected in a data warehouse (data management system for targeted data consolidation). The necessary data is taken from the databases of the various product providers and from external databases of the customer. In a second step, these data are put into a relationship with each other. BI provides potential insights into topics such as market development, trends for individual business objects, as well as possible risks and how to minimize them.

BI also plays a decisive role in the production environment, especially with platforms for MES and MOM. Learn more about Germanedge’s EdgeOne, the PaaS for MES- and MOM solutions.
